From the team whose design and technology solutions helped lift Microsoft & Epic's Gears of War franchise, Verizon FiOS and the Agenda Show from their infancy to unrivaled success, comes a painstakingly detailed Web3 ecosystem that embodies our vast technology development, experiential marketing, branding, sales and operations experience throughout these industries: streetwear/lifestyle fashion, direct-to-consumer (DTC) online alcoholic beverage sales, action sports, traditional sports, digital entertainment, finance, hospitality, healthcare, sport surfaces, building materials, non-profits, music and the arts.

Business Problem: App Fatigue

We are living in an era of severe organizational and institutional app fatigue, where an overload in redundant platform usage has not only markedly decreased productivity (up to 40% due to task-switching, according to The Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance), but it has also shown to significantly impact society's collective mental health in both education and business environments. In business, Administrators are reduced to swivel chair roles that require them to spend the bulk of their work day incessantly exporting and importing data between disparate systems.



According to the Harvard Business Review, “Psychology and neuroscience have shown that jumping between tasks — also called “context switching” — is cognitively taxing. Excessive toggling increases the brain’s production of cortisol (the primary stress hormone), slows us down, and makes it harder to focus.”

Also, according to their findings, “to execute a single supply-chain transaction, each person involved switched about 350 times between 22 different applications and unique websites. Over the course of an average day, that meant a single employee would toggle between apps and windows more than 3,600 times.”

Consumer Problem: Enshittification

Enshittification, the 2023 American Dialect Society's word of the year, is defined by the gradual degradation of our online lives, based on major tech companies shifting value away from you, and to the company's shareholders. This is highly evident, through:

a.) repeated price hikes with less inventory (digital + physical)

b.) the insane influx of advertisements that fully disrupt your user experience, especially for paid services that touted an ad-free pitch to gain Users

c.) top query results being rewarded to only the highest bidders, with the lone exception being to the platform's own competing products and services

d.) unjustified and repeated updates to terms' of service during non-update cycles

e.) massive reduction or flat out removal of incentive programs for the content creators and influencers that helped platforms gain notoriety

An already unprecedented rug pull situation has warped into hyperdrive since the term was coined in 2022, and we continue to move further away from the magic of a free, fair and open internet at the hands of "too big to care".

Experience

Our team consists of seasoned veterans with two decades of experience working together through technology development, experiential marketing, branding, sales and operations.

As a prior off-site consultancy, we were the first to successfully push XBOX Live's data pool to the web for in-game Auctions, Tournaments, Leaderboards and Gamer Cards. The inaugural launch was in support of their Forza Motorsports franchise, and our solutions were subsequently used in varying degrees by all global 1st party titles launched over the span of at least 3 years.

We concurrently began building a custom, approval-based B2B event registration system and companion show day app from the ground up for leading streetwear/lifestyle trade show the Agenda Show when they had 5k attendees on their books. We were able to process and scale the system to support over 800k attendees through two acquisition periods. It was ultimately used by RX Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of RELX Group, for their full portfolio of international B2B streetwear/lifestyle fashion trade shows across the globe. The system covered pre-registration, numerous airport style check-in options, real-time badge printing, mobile and hardware scanning, show day customer relationship management tools and comparative post-show analysis for over a decade.

We have received awards for our innovative solutions from the likes of Adobe, PR Week and the Society for Technical Communication.

Vision

2017 Initial Concept

In 2017 we began exploring ways to bundle our project experience with key functions and innovations that our clients repeatedly expressed a need for, but were never able to fit into their budgets. Our original concept was to build a scalable, yet elastic system with the ability to collectively address both known and unknown needs across any number of industries.

Our initial discovery phase put forth this question:

"Does a single binding agent exist that could provide the ability to differentiate how distinct, yet collaborative teams can harness the power of data segmentation more effectively and efficiently?"

The answer became abundantly clear. Usability Design.

Data is limited without intuitive mechanisms in place that process, serve and refine it for actionable use. In many cases these mechanisms are more rote than creative in nature, which limits overall segmentation capabilities. In addition, many systems lack a practical understanding of how to navigate their components out of the gate. This encouraged us to instill a wholly consistent process flow across the entirety of the platform, that:

a.) yields a clutterless and simplified visual experience where administrative personnel only see and access functionality relevant to their job function.

b.) enables rapid decision making via interaction techniques, where additional data is loaded inline when called on.

c.) minimizes training due to an extreme focus on visual and functional consistency through all sections and actionable behaviors

Our original distribution strategy was that we would lease or white label our platform for businesses to use directly in support of their own intiatives.

2020 Pivot

The pandemic forced us to take a big step back and reevaluate the validity of our product as a whole. Born out of that period of reflection was a focus on reinforcing remote workforce and managerial oversight capabilities, as well as expanding on visual charting for Dashboard Reporting. Organizational Management functionality would have touch points throughout all aspects of the system, through:

a.) providing all 1st-3rd party Companies and Personnel with the requisite access and tools needed to perform their assigned duties efficiently.

b.) creating our Dispatch section to bind all Companies and Personnel, through: Project and Task Management, Activity Tracking, Alerts, Mail, Chat and Forums.

d.) a multilayered structural hierarchy that would further refine highly segmented reporting capabilities.

2022 Epiphany

As the Organizational Management and Dispatch sections came to fruition and seemingly tied everything together, we came to the realization that our system had the potential to reshape industries, and that we would be better served if we created our own consumer experience around events, bookings and product sales.

We began looking at building a social marketplace that incentivized participation through monetary rewards. Some major advancements were happening in the Web3 blockchain space, and the release of the Merge on Ethereum ushered in a path to a sustainable future for utility-based cryptocurrencies due to its rapidly diminishing energy requirement.

We are steadfast in our belief that the transparency, security, authenticity and community-building potential that decentralized blockchain can provide, are all necessary components for the success of future economies. Utility Tokens provide us with the means to directly incentivize Users, and reward them for actively participating within our ecosystem. Coupled with Artificial Intelligence, we would be able to connect businesses with consumers who are passionate about their products or services, and expand on the quality of those relationships in meaningful ways.

The Single Source Web3 Platform

INDEX resides at the root of our initiatives as a high-performance, synergistically designed basket of online transaction and organization management functions that form the basis of the lifeStylistic trade ecosystem. By taking advantage of the transparency, security, and authenticity that decentralized Web3 blockchain technologies afford, it fortifies relationships on the back-end through our collaborative DISPATCH, and on the front-end by incentivizing active participation through STYL utility token rewards.

Event Registration

From pre-registration, to vetted approvals, to onsite check-in, we support both private and public events, through B2B, B2C and C2C channels. A Primary and Secondary Event hierarchy combines all relevant records, while also separating out unique traits. Tethered Events provide comparative analysis for recurring events (both pre- and post-). The Exhibitor section establishes District, Zone and Booth designations.

E-Commerce

From product and bundle management, online sales, dropship fulfillment, sales tax and compliance, E-Commerce shares its core purchasing and user account self-service with all sections. The shopping cart is a powerful application in itself in that it is continuously running in the background, and constantly scrapes and presents end-users with applicable promotions based on their cart’s contents and past activity.

Booking

The Booking section is a block-based reservation system for those who manage consecutive and/or concurrent activity sessions, limited ticketed events and venue rentals. For reservation type booking, a cost is established by how many blocks the end-user designates, and can be marked and charged as recurring. For ticketed events, Admins can designate tiered seating and corresponding pricing levels.

Org Management

The system is wholly driven by an underlying organizational hierarchy, where any number of Parent, Subordinate, Personnel and Partnership groups can collaborate efficiently. Our top-down approach provides enterprise level management oversight, and limits data access accordingly. Permissions and User Roles only grant access to applicable sections and functionality for Admin Groups and Users.

Campaigns

Campaigns create a diverse set of sweeping upsell opportunities for end-users across all sections, as well as advertising opportunities for Exhibitors and Companies. Promotions provide singular and stackable discounts that are redeemable at the point of purchase, whereas the Clubs and Artisans sections enact promotional programs that incentivize customer loyalty on an ongoing basis.

Super-Admin

The Super-Admin section offers top-level system access for select groups who wish to extend revenue opportunities by taking it to the next level. It includes all Org Management tools through its own Dispatch, Personnel and Groups sections, and also features Prospects, Clients and Finance sections so Administrators can fully manage both individual account needs and those of their clients adequately.
